SNIEK (Niek Vergeer) is part of a collaboration between ClinkNOORD and Street Art Today’s yearly event ‘King’s Spray.’ ‘Street Art Today’ is a promotional platform and art agency for urban and street art. At the King’s Spray Festival a select group of national and international artists will live paint sea containers and huge works of art, up to 9 by 5 metres. Vergeer was chosen by the curator of Street Art Today to paint huge canvas during the King’s Day event at the NDSM-Warf warehouse. After the event, Vergeer will stay at ClinkNOORD and produced a painting as part of our Stay & Create program.

“The painting ‘Robotic space vibes’ is inspired by my view of Amsterdam and the freedom that I feel in Amsterdam to do what I want to do. Nobody is stopping me. It’s a nice feeling.”
The painting ‘Robotic space vibes’ can be viewed in the basement at ClinkNOORD on your way to the luggage room.
